HOUSTON – Tuesday started out as another wet one for Houston, and it was likely to stay that way through the evening.

“We’ve got a rainy day coming up here, and this is going to impact you all day long,” 11 News Meteorologist David Paul said.

Though many parts of the Houston area were enjoying a break from the showers around lunch, Paul said he expects more rain to move in later in the day.

He said there’s a 70 percent chance for rain Tuesday afternoon and a 60 percent chance in the evening.

Paul said to expect rain totals anywhere from one to three inches when it’s all said and done.

Luckily for your AC unit, the wet weather brought break from the heat.

The high temperature for Tuesday was projected to be just 85 degrees, but by mid-afternoon, the mercury had only reached the high 70s.

Paul said the soggy weather and sporadic storms will likely stick around through the end of the week.

He said there is a 60 percent chance for rain on Wednesday.
