HOUSTON—A former teacher will spend the next eight months on probation after pleading guilty to indecency with a child.

Christopher Evans entered the plea on Monday.

He used to be a teacher at New Heights Christian Academy in northwest Houston.

Investigators say he had sex with a 15-year-old female student at his home last year.
