THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Investigators with the Houston Fire Department’s Arson division are trying to find out what caused a deadly house fire in The Woodlands.

The fire broke out late Thursday night.

A 23-year-old woman who was visiting her boyfriend was killed in the fire.

Her boyfriend was taken to the hospital.

His condition is unknown.

Firefighters say they arrived at the scene of the fire at around 10:30 Thursday night.

The home is located in Horn Silver near Placid Hill.

When they arrived on the scene they could see flames coming out from the back of the home.

The two-alarm blaze damaged part of the second floor.

Three other people who were inside the home got out safely.
