Deputies search for carjackers who killed man in NE Harris County

HOUSTON, Texas—The search is on for four men who, Harris County deputies say, shot and killed a man during a carjacking late Thursday night.
It happened in the 6300 block of Ackley in northeast Harris County.
Reports from the scene indicate that two men were visiting friends when they were robbed by the suspects.
When the two men tried to run away, deputies say, the suspects began shooting at them.
One of the men who was running was killed.
His friend was not hurt.
The suspects took off in the victim’s car, according to authorities.
That vehicle is a 2001 tan Chevy suburban with Texas license plate 05N PJ6.
