Georgetown curfew faces final reading tonight
04:17 PM CDT on Tuesday, August 12, 2008
A City of Georgetown curfew proposal may get final approval Tuesday night. It would apply to teens 16 and under.
The curfew would go from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, teens 16 and under should not be out from midnight to 6 a.m.
When school starts, a curfew would be in place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each weekday.
If the curfew is approved, it would take effect August 27.
Georgetown is the only city in Williamson County that doesn't have an active curfew for young people.
