More tests ordered in Routier murder case
12:12 PM CST on Wednesday, November 19, 2008
DALLAS — New forensic testing soon will be under way in the Darlie Routier murder case.
Her two young sons were stabbed to death in 1996; Routier was convicted and sentenced to death for one of those killings.
She has always said an intruder killed the boys.
Now a federal judge has granted additional testing on some items found at the scene, along with fingerprints.
It's the second time in five months that a judge has granted more forensic tests in the Routier case.
