Would-be FW holdup man pleads guilty
03:35 PM CDT on Friday, August 15, 2008
FORT WORTH — A wig-wearing, gun-toting bank robber who tried to carjack an SUV to flee pleaded guilty Friday in Fort Worth.
The June 13 holdup in Fort Worth ended after the man took money from a teller, tried to carjack a vehicle in the drive-thru lane — and some citizens tackled him.
Those people outside had noticed the man flashing a gun and trying to take over the vehicle driven by a woman, with two children in the back seat.
Federal prosecutors say Larry Don Enos, 57, faces up to life in prison when he's sentenced December 5. He also could be fined up to $1 million.
Investigators say Enos pleaded guilty to bank robbery, carjacking and two counts of using or carrying a firearm during a crime of violence.
